Closed Issue: Can not reopen javascript files [10149]

Steps to reproduce:1.Create a code snippet of javascript file2.Click the link from the review replay window3.Close the file from visual studio4.Click again the link from the replay window - the file does not open.It can't be opened even from the visual studio itself.That's because an exception is raised . According to the MS documentation http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/envdte.documents.open.aspxthe open command is not intended for public use, but only for internal.That's causing somehow a confusion in case of JavaScript file.I've searched further the documentation for a method that is allowed for public useand found it in the ItemOperations interface http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/envdte.itemoperations.openfile%28v=vs.100%29.aspx It does not return a document, but when a document is opened in the visual studio, it's being addedin the documents collections so all we need is to search it.I've done so and now my code works :) Update 07 May 2012I've found the quoted code above on two other places.I'm attaching screenshots with the diff but I'm unable to delete the old screenshot.I've also changed that code a bit.

I have recompiled to code to make it run with VS2012 and TFS2012. No big deal, if anyone is interested I can share the code.

Hi Corner22,

I don't think even the previous versions of this tool supported shelvesets.

After I made the changes, my team is using this with visual studio 2012 without any issues.

Can you please check/verify if you have selected the correct "query" and "link item" in the "review code Items" window?

The "New Code Item" window disappears when trying to save and the tfs server is unavailable.

I expected an error message to be displayed and the window to remain open so that the save operation can be tried again.

Otherwise, I lose all the information that was just typed in.

I've downloaded and installed the msi on skydrive.

I'm a newbie to TeamReview. My experience with this 2012 version wasn't very good. I created a new review item....

I couldn't find a way of associating an shelveset - I could only associate with a changeset.

Once I had created the review item, then it did not appear in the "Review Code Items" toolbox window - either the window is not finding the review item I created, or the review item wasn't actually created when I pressed Save.

Has anyone else tried this 2012 port?

Following the below steps

1. Navigate to the below link

2. right click on 'installation files' folder and select 'download'

3. A .zip file named 'Installation files' will be downloaded

4. unzip (extract) the files to a folder

5. install the addin by clicking 'setup.exe' file

You need to copy the entire "Installation files" folder

Along with the setup file copy "Application Data" and "Program files" folders at the same level as setup file.

If the folders are downloaded as zip files extract them at the same levels.

I have tested this setup and it works fine without any issues.

i did not run into any download issue . I downloaded the setup file. But that installation was unsuccessful.

Error: 1308. Source File Not found: C:\Program Files\TeamReview\TeamReview(2012)\TeamReview.ico.

and so on.

I hope there is some problem with the installer

I have used 'Installshield LE' as VS2012 doesn't support setup files and also I had to convert the projects to use framework 4.5

I have also included POST installation instructions in a text file.

Created Issue: Performance of Review Code Item screen Code switch is really bad [10496]

Using the Review Code Item screen for reaching the code that has been reviewed causes Visual Studio (2008 SP1) to use 100% CPU and freeze up for 30 seconds or so. After that the behaviour is as aexpected.
But the perfromance makes the entire screen useless, which means you have to search manually for the line that the review is directed to

I'd like to request the ability to copy all information in the code review to the clipboard and\or export to a file.

This is helpful especially in the case where a code review is conducted on changesets for projects on codeplex, where developers do not have access to add the code review work item template to TFS.

I expect to then be able follow the same work flow when creating a new code item, but instead of saving it, I would simply copy the contents to the clipboard and then send it in an email for example.
