About TeamReview use

I have some questions about how I should use TeamReview.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

Supposes you have modified some files in a project and then you want to review these files with another person.
So you create a “Code Review Response” work item.<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

- To create this work item …. Should the modified files be checked-in?<o:p></o:p>

- How the other person know which are the files that has to review? In which field or section should I detail the modified files names?<o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

On the other hand, one more question:<o:p></o:p>

- Can TeamReview be implemented in a Visual Basic 6.0 project? <o:p></o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

Thanks.

First you check-in or shelve your changes. Secondly you create a new
Task and in the description identify the items you would like reviewed
and how to retrieve them, such as the changeset or shelveset number.
You assign the Task to whomever you would like to review your code.
This is where TeamReview takes over, they would use it to submit code
review feedback. When they are done they re-assign the original Task
(that you created) back to you. You would then use TeamReview's Code
Review Replay capability.

Some of this can be facilitated by another open source project on
CodePlex, Code Review Workflow. Instead of creating a Task work item
type in step 1 the Code Review Workflow will automatically create a
Code Review work item. I suggest getting the Code Review work item
type from that project even if you don't use the checkin policy that
it comes with and then setting up a Team Query for "All Open Code
Reviews" to make finding the right work items in Team Review easier
than if you use Tasks in step 1.

Let me know if that helps, or if I can clarify more,
JB
